Can You Get a BBL Without Surgery?
Yes. A liquid BBL (non-surgical Brazilian butt lift) uses injectable biostimulators like Sculptra to add volume, improve shape, and smooth hip dips without fat transfer surgery, general anesthesia, or weeks of recovery. Results build gradually over 2 to 3 sessions and last 2 years or longer.
How does a liquid BBL actually work?
A liquid BBL uses Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid), a biostimulator that triggers your body to produce its own collagen where it is injected. Instead of transferring fat surgically, your provider maps the areas that need volume, typically the upper buttock, outer hips, and hip dips, and places the product in a series of injection points. Over the following weeks, new collagen forms and the treated area gains volume that looks and feels natural because it is your own tissue.
Liquid BBL vs surgical BBL
A surgical BBL requires liposuction, fat transfer, general anesthesia, and 2 to 4 weeks of restricted sitting. It delivers larger volume changes in one procedure but carries surgical risk. A liquid BBL is performed in-office in under an hour, requires no anesthesia beyond topical numbing, and you can sit normally within days. The tradeoff is that results are more subtle and build over multiple sessions. For patients who want enhancement and contour rather than a dramatic size change, the non-surgical route is often the better fit.
How many sessions and how long do results last?
Most patients need 2 to 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Because Sculptra works by building collagen, results develop gradually over 3 to 6 months and typically last 2 to 3 years. Maintenance sessions can extend results further.
What does a liquid BBL cost?
Pricing depends on the product used, HA filler or a biostimulator, and the volume your anatomy needs, which is determined at consultation. Current pricing for both options, including added volume, is listed on the Liquid BBL treatment page. Financing and payment plans are available.
Common questions
Is a liquid BBL safe?
When performed by a trained medical provider under physician oversight, Sculptra buttock augmentation has a strong safety profile. It is FDA-approved for facial use and used off-label for body contouring by experienced injectors. Every LovMedSpa treatment plan is reviewed under the supervision of our medical directors.
Does a liquid BBL hurt?
Topical numbing is applied before treatment and the product itself contains lidocaine. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. Mild soreness and swelling for 2 to 3 days is normal.
Can I sit down after a liquid BBL?
Yes. Unlike a surgical BBL, there is no strict no-sitting rule. We recommend avoiding prolonged direct pressure for the first 48 hours.
Who is not a candidate?
Patients seeking a dramatic size increase, or those with certain autoimmune conditions, are better served by a surgical consult. Your provider will tell you honestly at consultation if injectable augmentation will not achieve your goal.
LovMedSpa performs non-surgical body contouring across five locations under the supervision of medical directors Dr. Ahmed Elsoury, MD (New York and Connecticut) and Mark Ennett, PhD, CRNA (South Florida). A consultation is the best way to map your anatomy, confirm how many sessions you need, and get a fixed quote before anything is scheduled.
