Aftercare and Follow-Up at LovMedSpa
Every LovMedSpa patient leaves with written, treatment-specific aftercare instructions and a direct contact for questions. Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness for 24 to 72 hours is normal for most treatments. Follow-ups are scheduled where results need to be assessed, typically at 2 weeks for injectables and 6 to 12 weeks for collagen-building treatments.
The first 48 hours
Most treatments share the same short list: keep the area clean, skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours, avoid alcohol the day of treatment, and do not massage or press treated areas unless specifically instructed. Redness, small bumps at injection sites, mild swelling, and light bruising are all normal and resolve on their own.
What's normal vs when to call
Normal: tenderness, swelling, bruising, redness lasting up to a few days, and temporary asymmetry while swelling settles. Call us the same day for: significant pain that worsens instead of improves, skin that turns white or dusky near an injection site, spreading redness with warmth, or anything that simply feels wrong to you. You are given a direct line at checkout, use it. We would always rather hear from you about nothing than not hear about something.
Your follow-up
Injectable patients are typically seen or checked in with at 2 weeks, when results have fully settled and any refinement can be assessed. Collagen-building and device treatments are assessed at 6 to 12 weeks when new collagen is measurable. Follow-up photos are compared against your baseline so progress is documented, not guessed.
Protecting your results long-term
Your provider will map a maintenance schedule at follow-up: neurotoxin typically holds 3 to 4 months, HA fillers 6 to 18 months depending on product and area, biostimulators and RF results 1 to 2 years or more. Daily SPF is the single highest-leverage habit for protecting every aesthetic result you pay for.
Common questions
My results look uneven a few days in. Is something wrong?
Usually not. Swelling settles unevenly, especially with filler. Judge nothing before 2 weeks, that is exactly why the follow-up exists. If it persists at follow-up, your provider refines it.
Can I work out after treatment?
Skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours after most treatments, 48 hours after some device treatments. Your written aftercare states the exact window for yours.
What if I have a question at 9pm?
Message the direct contact on your aftercare sheet. Urgent concerns get same-day responses.
