What is a
Fat Transfer BBL?

A fat transfer BBL, the Brazilian butt lift in its original form, takes fat from where you don’t want it and moves it to the buttocks and hips. It adds fullness, lift, and a smoother curve from waist to thigh using your own tissue, with nothing synthetic involved.

At LovMedSpa the fat is harvested with BeautiFill laser liposuction. A 1470 nm laser fiber liquefies fat at low energy while suction collects it in a closed system, and the same pass tightens the skin over the donor area. That gentle handling is what keeps the fat cells healthy enough to survive once they are transferred.

The transfer happens in the same session. Your provider places the purified fat in small amounts through the buttocks and hips, layer by layer, so each deposit sits close to a blood supply. Fat that takes becomes permanent, living tissue, and a portion is always reabsorbed in the first few months, which is why the placement is planned with that in mind.

Everything is done under local tumescent anesthesia in our office. No general anesthesia, no hospital, and you go home the same day.

The fat transfer BBL is offered exclusively at LovMedSpa Staten Island, 4247 Richmond Avenue, under the direction of our Medical Director, Dr. Ahmed Elsoury, MD. When you book, choose Staten Island in the location picker.

The volume comes from fat harvested from your abdomen, flanks, or thighs, so it looks, feels, and moves like the rest of you. Nothing synthetic is injected.

The donor area is contoured by laser liposuction at the same time the buttocks and hips are filled. Two results from one procedure.

Harvest and transfer happen in the same in-office session under tumescent local anesthesia. No general anesthesia, no overnight stay.

BeautiFill's 1470 nm laser liquefies fat at low energy and collects it in a closed system, which is what keeps the cells healthy enough to survive transfer.

Some fat is reabsorbed in the first three months. The fat that establishes a blood supply stays for good and changes with your weight like any other fat.

One visit.

Harvest to transfer.

Pricing covers both the liposuction and the transfer and depends on how many donor areas are harvested. Your provider at our Staten Island clinic gives you an exact quote at your first consultation, which is free. Financing through Cherry is available.

How the procedure works

Your provider confirms you have enough fat to harvest, agrees the shape you want, and marks the donor areas and the transfer zones. This first visit is free.

Under local tumescent anesthesia, BeautiFill liquefies and collects fat from the abdomen, flanks, back, or thighs while tightening the skin over those areas.

The harvested fat is separated from fluid and debris in a closed system, so only clean, viable fat cells go back in.

The fat is placed in small, layered deposits across the buttocks and hips to build fullness and projection while giving every deposit a blood supply.

Two to three days before desk work, about two weeks off direct pressure on the buttocks, and a compression garment over the donor areas for four to six weeks. Final shape at three to six months.

Frequently
Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your fat transfer BBL consultation in Staten Island.

How is a fat transfer BBL different from a Liquid BBL?

A Liquid BBL adds volume with injectable filler or a biostimulator and needs no fat removal. A fat transfer BBL uses your own fat, taken by laser liposuction from the abdomen, flanks, or thighs and re-injected into the buttocks and hips in the same session. It slims one area while shaping another, and the fat that survives is permanent.

Is this the same as a surgical BBL?

It is a surgical procedure, but a gentler one. A traditional BBL is done under general anesthesia with mechanical liposuction. Ours uses BeautiFill laser liposuction under local tumescent anesthesia in our Staten Island office, which means less bruising, a shorter procedure, and no hospital stay. The tradeoff is that it suits moderate, natural enhancement rather than a dramatic size change.

How much of the transferred fat survives?

Some transferred fat is always reabsorbed in the first three months; that is true of every fat graft. BeautiFill's low-energy laser and closed harvesting system are designed to keep the fat viable, and your provider places it in small amounts across the tissue to give it the best blood supply. Whatever remains at three months is there to stay.

What is the recovery like?

Plan on two to three days before desk work and about two weeks of avoiding direct pressure on the buttocks, sitting on a BBL cushion or your thighs when you must. A compression garment goes over the liposuction areas for four to six weeks. Swelling settles over the first month and the final shape shows at three to six months.

Who is a good candidate for a fat transfer BBL?

Adults near a stable weight who have enough fat to harvest, usually in the abdomen, flanks, back, or thighs, and who want a fuller, more contoured backside using their own tissue. If you are very lean, a Liquid BBL is often the better route; your provider will tell you honestly at the consultation.

Which LovMedSpa location offers the fat transfer BBL?

The fat transfer BBL is available only at LovMedSpa Staten Island, 4247 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10312. Book through our online scheduler and choose Staten Island as the location. Liquid BBL remains available at all five clinics.

How much does a fat transfer BBL cost?

Pricing covers both halves of the procedure, the liposuction of the donor areas and the transfer, and depends on how many areas are harvested. You receive an exact quote at your first consultation, which is free, and financing through Cherry is available.
