Therapy?
Much of erectile dysfunction comes down to blood flow. Over time the small vessels that feed erectile tissue narrow and stiffen, and the erections that follow are slower, softer, and less reliable — no matter how much desire is there.
Low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-ESWT) treats that directly. A handheld applicator delivers gentle acoustic pulses across the shaft and base of the penis. The pulses cause micro-stress in the vessel walls, which triggers the release of growth factors, clears micro-plaque, and stimulates new blood vessel formation over the following weeks.
Unlike medication, the goal is not a few hours of effect. Because the therapy aims to change the tissue itself, many men report firmer spontaneous erections that persist beyond the treatment course, and some find they rely less on oral ED medication.
Sessions take about 20 minutes, require no anesthesia, and feel like a light tapping. Protocols commonly run six to twelve sessions spaced one to two weeks apart; your provider maps yours after a consultation and, where useful, a vascular assessment.
At LovMedSpa, shockwave therapy is administered in a private treatment room under the oversight of our Medical Directors — discreet from the first call to the final session.
Aims to improve blood flow to erectile tissue rather than mask the symptom, which is why benefits may outlast any single session.
No needles, incisions, or medication. The applicator rests on the skin and sessions feel like a mild pulsing.
Return to work, exercise, and intimacy the same day. Most men feel nothing more than light warmth afterward.
Some patients report responding better to sildenafil or tadalafil after treatment, or needing it less often.
Improved circulation may also support sensitivity, so the benefit is not limited to rigidity.
